She works in Portuguese and English and has spent twenty-seven years learning not to hurry. That suits guests who have crossed several time zones and are no longer certain what day it is. Most of the hotels are close enough that the wait is twenty minutes rather than an evening, whatever the ring road has decided to do. The eight-hour bookings end when the alarm does, and she is awake before it. Whatever state a flight has left somebody in, she takes it as it comes and asks nothing back.

One message with the hotel, the room, the hour and the length. The confirmation comes back inside ten minutes with a name and a time — and the name is the one you asked for.
On WhatsApp, naming Rita, the hotel, the room number, the hour and how long. If the hotel is at the airport, say so.
If she is free for that hour we come back with a time. If she is not, we say so rather than sending somebody else in her place.
Payment on arrival: cash in any major currency at the day's rate, card, or crypto. The hour starts when the door closes.
One hour EUR 180 through to eight hours at EUR 1,250. Twenty to thirty minutes anywhere in the centre; the Schiphol airport hotels by arrangement.
